Economic Cooperation: ECO parliamentary session today
Parliamentary forum has been envisaged to institutionalise collaboration and interaction between ECO parliaments
ISLAMABAD:
The National Assembly will host a two-day meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) parliamentarians starting today. The ECO parliamentarians will deliberate upon and approve the proposed draft charter, which is to be formed by the Parliamentary Association of Economic Cooperation Organisation (PAECO). The parliamentary forum has been envisaged to institutionalise collaboration and interaction between parliaments of ECO member states. The charter will be formally adopted in the meeting of the speakers/presiding officers of the ECO member countries’ parliaments to be held in Islamabad, later this year.
