KARACHI:

The admission forms of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University in Larkana are not available at the designated centres except Larkana and Sukkur.

Admissions to MBBS and BDS programmes at all public sector medical colleges and universities in Sindh kicked off from Monday, but the varsity management failed to supply the prospectus to the TCS offices on the first day.

The university had earlier announced that its prospectus costing Rs250 would be available at TCS Express Centres in Larkana, Dadu, Mehar, Jacobabad, Kandhkot, Naushehro Feroze, Shikarpur, Sukkur, Khairpur, Moro, Daharki, Mehrabpur, Amber Tower branch Karachi, Auto Bhan Road in Hyderabad and PMC Road in Benazirabad.

“We managed to supply 500 copies to the TCS offices in Larkana and Sukkur while another 2,500 copies would be dispatched to other centres today,” said Dr Waheed Memon, the director of admissions at the Benazir Bhutto university. The application forms will be accepted by the TCS representatives only if the prospective students fulfil the eligibility criteria. The deadline to submit the forms is September 17. The entry test will be held on October 7.
