Balochistan security: End shoulder promotions from police, says CJ
Court ordered advocate general of Balochistan to them inform about the security situation from July 31 onwards.

While hearing a case pertaining to missing persons and the security situation in Balochistan on Monday, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry ruled that shoulder promotions and acting charge should be ended from police and directed that a notification in this regard be presented to him by 3pm today, Express News reported.
During the hearing presided by Justice Chaudhry is underway at the Quetta registry, the Supreme Court sought a complete report regarding targeted killings, missing persons and kidnapping for ransom cases in the provinces.
The court ordered the advocate general of Balochistan to inform the court about the security situation from July 31 onwards.
Justice Chaudhry inquired from the advocate general about the killing of a judge belonging to the Shia sect. The advocate general informed the chief justice that whenever he is about to come for case hearings in Balochistan, “secret forces” disrupt peace in the province.
The chief justice told the advocate general that it is his job is to unveil the forces and maintain peace in the province.
