US Open: Aisam, Rojer cruise into quarter-finals

After an outstanding win in the men’s doubles, tennis star Aisamul Haq Qureshi and Dutch partner Jean-Julien Rojer made it to the quarter final of the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year, Express News reported Monday.
The last Grand Slam, US Open is currently underway.
Qureshi and Rojer beat Russian tennis player Alex Bogomolov, Jr. and his South African partner Raven Klaasen by 6-3, 6-4.
Earlier, Qureshi and Su-Wei Hesieh were sent packing from the mixed doubles event of the US Open after a 6-4, 6-4 defeat to Kveta Peschke of Czech Republic and Marcin Matkowski of Poland in their opening match of the tournament.
