Agri-products: Wisdom Korea may invest in Pakistan

The delegation called on Board of Investment Chairman, expressed an interest in the agriculture and food sectors.

ISLAMABAD: A seven-member delegation of Wisdom Korea, a joint venture company, is visiting Pakistan to explore investment opportunities in the agriculture and food sector of the country. The delegation called on Board of Investment Chairman Saleem H Mandviwalla and expressed an interest in the agriculture and food sectors, and also the cultivation of mangoes and pre-cooked rice. Lee Jae Ho, CEO of G-Food Korea, informed Mandviwalla, that the Korean government has extended financial support through its ODI programme to assist developing countries like Pakistan. Mandviwalla directed the delegation to meet with the Rice Exporter Association of Pakistan and the Horticulture Development Export Board of Pakistan to establish joint ventures for processing of food and agriculture items for export. Mandviwalla welcomed the delegation for its interest in Pakistan and assured the group of complete support and facilitation.
