Ajmal khan case: Kidnapper refuses to appear before ATC
Yousaf was arrested after he was found driving Khan’s vehicle after his kidnapping.

Yousaf, the alleged kidnapper of former Islamia College University (ICU) vice-chancellor Ajmal Khan, refused to appear before the court and accept any of its decision during his hearing in the Peshawar Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC). Yousaf was brought in front of ATC Judge Asghar Ali Shah where he called the court an ‘English court’ being run under ‘English law’. The suspect was brought to the court under additional security but the case could not be heard due his absence. The court was later adjourned until September 15. Yousaf was arrested after he was found driving Khan’s vehicle after his kidnapping. Khan, the cousin of Awami National Party chief Asfandyar Wali Khan had gone missing on September 7, 2009 from outside his residence in Professors’ Colony.
