27 PAS officers being shifted to Balochistan
One BS-21 and four BS-20 officers to be shifted in first phase.

The Establishment Division has decided to pull 27 officers of the Pakistan Administrative Services (PAS), formerly known as the District Management Group (DMG), from Punjab for posting in Balochistan under a new rotation policy.
Establishment Division Secretary Tamoor Azmat Osman had handed over a list of these officers to Punjab Chief Secretary Nasir Mehmood Khosa in Islamabad on Wednesday, an official familiar with the development told The Express Tribune.
The official said that the new policy had been issued on August 17 to ensure officers who had served only in their home provinces also served in other provinces. He said one BS-21 officer, four BS-20 officers, seven Bs-19 officers and 15 BS-18 officers would be transferred to the Balochistan government as a result. The chief minister had approved their transfers, he said.
The transferred officers would include Asad Rehman Gilani, the district coordination officer of Sheikhupura, Sheryar Sultan, the cooperatives registrar, Khalid Sherdil, the additional home secretary, and Ahsan Iqbal, the Nankana DCO.
The chief secretary travelled to Islamabad on Wednesday to discuss the matter. At a meeting chaired by the ED secretary, Khosa presented a list of 15 officers in BS-21, 68 in BS-20, 20 in BS-19 and 10 in BS-18 who were serving in the Punjab. The meeting decided that of these officers, one in BS-21, four in BS-20, seven in BS-19 and 15 in BS-18 would be posted to Balochistan during the first phase of the new policy’s implementation.
Ahad Khan Cheema, a BS-19 officer who is director general of the Lahore Development Authority, Mujahid Sherdil, a BS-18 officer who heads the Provincial Disaster Management Authority, and Nabeel Awan, special secretary to the chief minister (BS-19), are not being shifted, though none of them has served in Balochistan.
