Public Health: Woman tests positive for dengue fever

The Health Department team could not find dengue mosquito larvae in any of the samples collected from the village.

FAISALABAD: A woman was tested positive for dengue fever at Allied Hospital on Thursday. Irshad Bibi, 65, a resident of Chak 69-RB in Khurarianwala, was admitted to the special ward set up in the medical unit-II for dengue fever patients. Following Irshad Bibi’s admission to the hospital, a Health Department team visited her village to collect mosquito larvae samples and to spray pesticides in open spaces to prevent mosquitoes from breeding. The team, headed by Executive District Officer (Health) Dr Abdur Rauf, could not find dengue mosquito larvae in any of the samples collected from the village.
