The police claim to have arrested two gangsters carrying a large weapons cache on Wednesday.

The police claim to have arrested two gangsters carrying a large weapons cache on Wednesday.  Shafique alias Bhola Gaddi and Muhammad Nasir, who were travelling on a motorbike, were stopped at a picket at Daalgaran Chowk and found to be carrying two small mortar guns, 30 shells, a pistol and seven bullets, said Naulakha police officials. An official involved in the arrest said that the two suspects had threatened the policemen, saying they were close associates of the late Tipu Truckanwala, the notorious underworld don. He said that police reinforcements were called to the scene and they took the suspects to the police station. He said the suspects had also called their men to the scene. Naulakha Station House Officer Muhammad Javed said that a case had been registered against the two suspects under Sections 4/5 of the Explosives Act and Section 13, 20 and 65 of the Pakistan Arms Ordinance of 1965. He said that officials were checking police records to see if the two are wanted in any case.
