Sports festival: Participation landmark for the youth

In Lahore alone, around 50,000 youngsters took part in 30 events.

The participation in the Neighbourhood and Village level has crossed half a million in just four days since the start of the Punjab Youth and Sports Festival, where Mohammad Nawaz beat Rohail and Nafa Shah beat Rizwan in the billiards event. In Lahore alone, around 50,000 youngsters took part in 30 events contested on Wednesday among the Sports and Youth Development Councils, while the figure of participation in different events in 36 other districts of the province surpassed the 500,000 mark, according to  the Sports Board Punjab.  Cricket and a few athletics events were also conducted on the outer grounds of the complex.
