PML-N reaches out to PTI for consultations over caretaker set-up
Nisar says they have started contacting various political parties to discuss the formation of an interim government.

"We have contacted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for consultation over the caretaker set-up," said leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Wednesday.
Speaking to journalists at the Parliament House, Nisar said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has started contacting political parties for a dialogue over the formation of an interim government.
“We have spoken to former Balochistan chief minister Akhtar Mengal and [Pashtoon nationalist leader from Balochistan] Mehmood Achakzai; we will make contact with Jamaat-e-Islami in a day or two,” Nisar said.
“I will reveal further details about the caretaker set-up this coming Saturday,” he added.
Earlier, PML-N had short-listed eight candidates for the post of caretaker prime minister.
The names, which have not been disclosed by the party as yet, are said to include senior politicians, retired judges and senior lawyers.
