Sialkot murder case: commission to submit report on Thursday

Director General Rescue 1122 Punjab Dr Rizwan Naseer claimed that the rescue centre is not responsible for negligence.

SIALKOT:

The inquiry commission constituted to probe the barbaric incident of lynching of two brothers in Sialkot, will submit its report in the Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday.

Director General Rescue 1122 Punjab Dr Rizwan Naseer claimed that the rescue centre is not responsible for negligence, as they tried to contact the police but they did not arrive promptly.

While speaking at a press conference in Sialkot, Rizwan Naseer said that the rescue team had put their lives on the line to protect the two brothers who were killed by the mob.

The Director General said that a cleric had brought the two teenagers to his office and during the time the boys stayed in the office they were given full protection.

Meanwhile the secondary school examination results of one of the victims of the Sialkot torture case, Muneeb Butt, have been announced on Wednesday.

Muneeb Butt was the younger of the two brothers who were brutally killed in Butter area near Sialkot. He was a ninth grade student and took his examination in science subjects from the Gujranwala Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.

Muneeb's cousin told Express 24/7 that he had secured 'A' grade in his exams by obtaining 342 marks out of 525.

I am stopping this debate however its my heartiest pray that I should be wrong and things would be starightened in Pakistan. I don't know brother :) We need to find a solution its easy to sit and criticize specially when your abroad the only thing ur worried abt is ur of pakistani origin and ppl might raise fingers on u thate embarassing for u.. Please either tell them u have nothing to do with Pakistan if ur so emabarassed coz like u millions of pakistanis didnt witeness such incidents and our blood is boiling too to see my country like this ..

Shame on Sialkot and it's Jatt Awam and Bhangee Police. They all deserve to die in gutters. Pathetic Police should be hanged publicly for failing to detain the victims within the police station. Department that brought Muneeb and Mughees out of Police station is responsible for their brutal murder. Boys could have been brought out in public on instruction of the main Killer.

We have good and bad people here too like every other nation however, the difference is that Law enforcing agencies never support any criminal. A criminal is a criminal and there is no different treatment because of their status in society. Institution are very strong than individual and they are working independently. Could you imagine a deputy chairman of senate in the western world Who says that it is part of their tribal values to bury live women. Head of state is claiming killing political oponent as peoples power when several people killed in Karachi on May 12. Mukhtaran Mai, Tasneem Solangi, Muneeb and Mughees and their are countless examples of injustice in our society. While writing this, a breaking news that Pakistan Cricket team involved in match throwing and fixing scandal. You have mentioned about Imran Khan. I personaly like and admire his work for the humanity. however his political struggle is questionable. He never promotes any one for leadership or elections in his party. he is only one man show. I am not proud of this situation but I dont have any solution. Quote: Previous nations had been destroyed because they punished poors and release their elites for the same crime. I heard an other incident took place yesterday when a dubai based Pakistani visiting his family had been locked in a room and then brutally killed by firing for the sake of 10 marla piece of land. imagine he was trying to contact police which was probabely yards awy but no one helped the poor guy. We overseas Pakistanis pays more price for this kind of brutal acts. People here immediately ask us what kind of society we are? Brother, You can say us coward or what ever you feel but I am truly telling you that I have no further believe in Pakistan. I dont think that this country will exist anymore. Apart from this incident you could see natural calamity and bomb explosion in mosques same time, target killing in Karachi. It is not a country or nation its just like a crowed and may be a Jungle of two leged animals at large. Quaid Azam said that Pakistan has formed for its people to live a very good life. Please ask yourself if acommon Pakistani really living a good life Anyway it is not Quaid's fault this is fault of our whole nation.

This incident has affected every Pakistani in a way ..its really hard to even imagine that how illiterate cruel people killed innocent brothers.. we as a nation have to work hard and change this system so that we could save our generations.. Muneeb and Mughees returned to their creator but what we have to make sure now is justice for them and their faamilies they wont be forgotten .. we should make an example for such brutal people who have the courage to kill innocent kids of our nation.. punish them so that they never even try to repeat this.. May Allah rest their souls in peace, highest ranks in Jannah and grant strength and patience to their family ameen.

I heard about the incident from my fellow at work. Initially i just took it like 'hear-and-forget' but then many of the people around were discussing the event and i couldnt resist to finally youtube it. Well i still can't believe my eyes what i have seen. I don't have words to explain how i feel about those two brothers!! The pain they were in? How helpless were they in the middle of thousands? their eyes were searching for a single soul to come and get them out of the horror!! I still regret that why did i watch that clip, I really do. I am still not sure as like many others too that what is exactly the main story behind this murder? But one thing i can stand on and cry my heart out at, that even if those two brothers were guilty, even if they killed someone or beaten or were thieves, or whatever crime or sin they did! This was not the WAY ... This was not the way they deserved.. It's inhuman, utterly insane... I am totally clueless about my society? where are the going? what have we become? i havent heard any stories like this from my forefathers things happening like this in their youth!! I say, justice should be served. Which sadly wont bring them back to this curropt society again but atleast set an example to the rest of the world that the country is still alive! Today i am ashamed to be a part of this......... part of the world.

If you are living abroad and want to risk your life just travel to Pakistan. I am from Pakistan but I am thankful to God that I am living in Belgium. People of Sialkot are from stone age, they do not have a proper brain to think well and majority of Pakistanis are same illiterate. This is the reason that they vote for the same corrupt polticians again and again. I think Americans and EU must invade this country and rule it. Atleast they work for humanity. A Sufi after his return from europe, confirmed that you dont see Muslims there but you will see Islam there.

Under what justification was this fatwah given, in which gods name did they make this sacrafice? It is said that the state of the muslim ummah cannot be judged by the best of us, but by the worst amongst us. This is sad day for all Pakistani’s and muslims worldwide. May their parents find peace through Dua. dr uzma | 14 years ago | Reply Allah knows wether the two brothers were involved in the murder of bilal or not,but even the alleged crime of a man being fired during a fight over cricket or even during robbery (which seems unlikely)cannot justify this brutal public torture and dual killing anyway.the most dreadful behaviour is of those who are so called aman k rakhwalay/the policemen and rescue team.they are fully responsible for this inhuman shameful act. they have the power and traning of controlling the mob but they even incite the mob. now supreme court bear the responsibility of giving justice which should never be delayed. i real feel that without a quick justice this satanic act in ramazan ,this only act may be enough to call for Allah s azab what to talk of our image all over the world

The latter is usually the case in family feuds and adultery cases. I know I'm speculating, but I feel that there might have been a girl involved, or at least an accusation of an affair. Such things lead to violent public stonings in villages.

I can't imagine the mob there in sialkot including kids were watching that brutal act lime a movie. This is disgusting. In my opinion, Pakistan needs another profit to make them human first forget about muslims. Now a days the pakistani image in the world is as terrorist, in-human, corrupt, ill-educated, emotional and taliban type mob. they dont even call them a nation. I thank God millions time that he gave me opportunity to raise my kids in a civilized environment away for this Jungle called pakistan. Frankly speaking, pakistan will be a much better country, if it is ruled either by Americans or British again. All these corrcupt leaders, earthquakes, floods are the punishment from the God. Whatever they have done in Sialkot, it was done in holiest month of Ramadan when Shaitan is put in lock-up but these brutal people are bigger shaitan who did that killing and the ones who were watching that. When plane crashed in Islamabad there were stories that people were taking watches and other expensive things from the plane wrekage rather than helping the few injured one who were still alive. the whole society has turned into animals. I am worried that even a bigger azaab fro Allah is not too far.

It is unjustifiable for me to believe that two brothers from a decent, educated, and pro-muslim family with no money problems will do any robbery in a village whose people are living in far more poor conditions. Secondly, I don't understand why was the investigation officers changed in the middle. Why were the fake news of capturing the DPO were released? Why didn't police registered the FIR until the parents brought media into the play? Thirdly, there is no justification of even touching anyone for harm before any trial. Also, even if the trial was done, its not justifiable for the normal public to beat anyone even if they are convicted. All the trial and post-trial work should be done by the concerned governing bodies.

In this incident, we had hapless boys being tortured mercilessly for hours on end with one of them begging to have a bullet through him because he could not bear the pain and yet the tormentors paid no heed and continued with their gruesome gratification even after the boys were pronounced dead. The excellent marks for Muneeb Butt, only confirms the fact they came from a respectable, educated and God fearing family as everyone from their locality will attest. These characteristics do not match the profile of a dacoit

sara | 14 years ago | Reply Despite what these two brothers did, what's disturbing is that ppl took the law in their own hands. This indicates that people have no faith in the justice system. I think the focus of discussions should be to improve our judicial system, our police forces and hold people accountable for their actions. NO ONE should be allowed to take the law into their own hands no matter what the circumstances. My heart also goes out to the unspoken victims of this unfortunate incident, the people who were shot by these brothers while they were robbing them and specifically the milk man who was shot to death and whose brother retaliated by torturing and murdering these two.

Human | 14 years ago | Reply This is the most disgusting, vile behaviour I have ever heard of. I also happened to come across the video on youtube and this has left me disturbed. Those people cannot be normal functioning humans. I understand it is up to God to punish the killers, policemen and bystanders (I believe all are equally responsible), but I really wish that their punishment in this life would be put in our hands. A prison sentence is nowhee near enough, and God help Pakistan if they try to be lenient thia time round!

Unfortunately, many do not like to admit this but Pakistan is a shameful country and has no morals and no it seems all humanity has disappeared. Yes I am ashamed to be of a Pakistani background, and yes I truly pray everyday that the residents will finally see the light. We as humans, if not fellow muslims, should not let this go because I have a strong fear that one day it will become the norm for such stories to be heard often. It is our duty to do everything within our rights to ensure justice is served and such incidents do not occur again. If any of you are not touched by this as much as I am, then you are as low and immoral as the cowardly bystanders who failed to take action. To say that I am appalled is a huge understatement. While my head is filled with constant thoughts of the time the two brothers were being humiliated, I cannot help but think like a child and wish that I could turn back time. For I can assure you, that being a human could NEVER EVER have stood back and watched that happen. I really don't know how some of these people will live with themselves.

A nation cannot be maligned by the actions of a relatively few, but it is very hard to see reason and logic when the eyes are wet, the toungue dumbfounded and passions overwhelming. I hope a just example is made out of every culprit who laid their fingers on the sticks that caused the death of Muneeb and Mueez, I hope severe punishments are served to those who manhandled the boys when they were weak and overpowered, I hope examples are made out of all the bystanders who watched and cheered on the barbaric acts. And I hope every man who inhumanely manhandled the dead bodies, inlcuding that animal who threw the deceased bodies off the back of the lorry, are taught tough lessons on how to respect the bodies of those who are without life. If there has never been before, then I hope new precedents are set within the law to ensure that all those involved or complicit in these acts of torture and barbarism, whether actively or passively, are punished so future generations will THINK before mistreating another human being. I thank Allah that my parents left that god forsaken country before I was born. The brutal public murder of the two brother's has no place in a modern civilised society. These mob lynchings were supposed to be confined to ancient, uncivilised societies from thousands of years ago. Is this how far Pakistani society has fallen? The acts commited by the mob have repulsed humanity worldwide and has reflected on Pakistan as a nation and as a society. I would not take my children on holiday to Pakistan ever again. In my opinion, controversial as it may be, it would be beneficial for the people of Pakistan for the U.S.A. & U.K. to invade the country and establish a Western Style Democracy with institiutions accountable to its people and not to their leaders. Society in what is now Pakistan was much more civilised under the rule of the British Raj than it is now.
