Development projects: 11 schemes worth Rs820m approved

Rs45 million would be spent on the repair of Jaranwala-Buchiana Road.

The Punjab government on Tuesday approved Rs820 million for 11 development schemes in the city. These schemes include construction of roads and bridges on canals. A city district government spokesman on Tuesday said that Rs45 million would be spent on the repair of Jaranwala-Buchiana Road.



He said Rs20 million had been allotted for work on the construction of the Gangapur Road. He said Rs160 million would be spent on the construction of Tandlianwala Bridge and road, Rs130 million on the construction of Kamalia Road and dualisation of Mamu Kanjan Bridge, Rs50 million on the construction of four bridges and the road from Jaranwala Committee Chowk to 240 Mor.

As much as Rs70 million has been earmarked for the construction of a road from Khurarianwala to Jaranwala and a three-kilometer sewerage drain along the road, Rs160 million on the construction of a drain and Bhowana-Pansara Road, Rs130 million on Jhumra-Chiniot Road and a drain alongside, Rs22.5 million for Salarwala Road and Rs30 million for Jaranwala-Satiana Road.
