Peace militia volunteer killed in blast
Last week, two members of the same militia lost their lives in a similar attack in Bara subdivision of Khyber Agency.

A volunteer of a peace militia was killed and another wounded in a bomb attack in the Khyber tribal region on Monday.
Suspected militants detonated a remote-controlled bomb when two volunteers of the Tauheedul Islam peace militia stopped at a roadside well in Katha Kanray village, in the Burakh area of Landi Kotal sub-division.
“As a result, Wali Muhammad from the Shan Khel area died on the spot, while another volunteer was seriously injured,” Levies official Swalzar Khan told The Express Tribune.
The injured was rushed to a local clinic where he was later identified as Multan.
Last week, two members of the same militia lost their lives in a similar attack in the Bara subdivision of Khyber Agency.
The two volunteers were patrolling the area when their motorcycle was targeted with an improvised explosive device, according to the political administration.
The Tauheedul Islam peace militia was formed by Zakha Khel, a sub-clan of the Afridis, to fight insurgents in Bara. The militia was especially promoted to fight banned extremist group Lashkar-e-Islam, led by Mangal Bagh Afridi.
