Highway crime: 7 arrested, stolen bronze container recovered
Police recovered container loaded with 40 tons of bronze, valued at Rs20 million, from possession of suspects.

Chak Jhumra police on Monday claimed to have arrested seven theft suspects. The police said they had recovered the container loaded with 40 tons of bronze, valued at Rs20 million, from the possession of these suspects.
The suspects were identified as Nadeem Husain, Shahid Ali, Muhammad Yaqoob, Muhammad Akbar, Nadeem Ahmad, Nawaz and Ejaz. The driver of the container, who had been kidnapped by the suspects when they stolen the container from Bahawalpur, was set free.
Station House Officer Chaudhary Shehzad Warraich said police were now looking for other accomplices of the suspects.
He said they were tipped off about the theft by Bahawalpur Musafir Khana police.
The container was stolen and its driver kidnapped from Bahawalpur enroute to Karachi. It had been sent from Gujranwala.
A theft case had been registered in the matter at Musafir Khana police.
