HARIPUR/ MIRPUR/ GILGIT: A six-year-old girl was raped in Kot Najibullah union council on Monday.
Police quoted Bano Bibi* of Ganjiyan village as saying her daughter, Maryam Bibi*, had gone to a nearby shop and was returning home when Muhammad Irfan* forcibly took her to a nearby field and raped her.
The girl fell unconscious and was taken to Rural Health Centre Kotnajibullah. Her medical examination, conducted under supervision of the police, confirmed that the girl was raped. Police registered a case under Section 376 of the PPC and arrested the accused.
