Wassan also denied media reports which quoted him as saying that the government will write a letter to Swiss authorities to reopen graft cases against President Asif Ali Zardari. “I did not say any such thing. We want to find a middle way out as we want to complete our five years which will end on February 18,” he maintained.
He said that the middle way will be found after the hearing which will be held after the September 18 hearing.
The former minister also mentioned his opinion that the government should hold the general elections on April 4, 2013 as it is also the death anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
Express News also quoted Wassan as saying that the government will inform the court that only four months are left till the elections and senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Faisal Raza Abidi should be summoned to the court instead of the prime minister.

@Waqar Ahmed: election exercise is the job of Election commissioner and he only will decide when to conduct election and not the political parties.
These people are just interested in completing their term but never interested in resolving the peoples problems.
I am confident that Manzoor Wassan observed Faisal Muhammad's Yesterday's Interview on Indian TV wheres Faisal Muhammad clearly disclosed that PM will attend Supreme Court and Govt will write latter to Swiss Authorities, because last week all issues solved through "Back Chanel Diplomacy" last week.
Manzoor Wassan? Who is this person - Perhaps the one who could not run home department in Sind? Does he has any value? And, asking SC like SC works for him. Useless press conferences and press releases - just to further confuse people per political agenda. Amazingly, there are people who believe on these kind of people. This is really funny.
Whom should we believe????
Wassan,
When your latest dream comes true? I don't think so
"A tyrant doesn't remain in the world but curse on him abides forever"
U all have vested interest, U all live for money and wants to fill your pot bellies beyond your appetite"Wassan said that the government will inform the court that only four months are left till elections" And then it says at the end..."The general elections in the country will be held on April 4, 2013, he announced." Which is almost 8 months away from now.... What is going on? Utter caos this Govt. is....
Vienna,August 27,2012 I do not see it a good precedent even a care taker government taking Supreme Court orders and write a letter to any foreign country authorities to take up a dropped case against the head of Government and State. I am a non citizen for Pakistan. But I do believe Pakistani citizens have right to respect their institutions of power especially the sovereign power.
