A man was kidnapped and cash and valuables were looted from a house in separate incidents in Pindigheb on Sunday. In the first incident, police quoted the wife of Abdul Latif, a resident of Muslim Town, as saying that while she was visiting her native town of Dhok Rehan for Eid, thieves broke into her house and stole Rs20,000 cash, gold jewellery, electrical appliances, documents and 25 dresses. In the second incident, a shopkeeper was kidnapped in Fatehjhang. Muhammad Hafeez, a resident of Pindigheb, told the police that his brother, Haji Saeed, was going to Nowshera to purchase cloth when he was stopped by men in a white-coloured car near Fatehjhang. He said that two men came out of the car and abducted his brother at gunpoint. Incidents of theft have increased in Pindigheb, spreading a sense of insecurity among resident. They have requested police high-ups to take notice of the deteriorating law and order situation in Attock.
