Lyari operation: Rangers arrest 54 gang war 'suspects'
Recover Kalashnikovs, 12-mm pistols, grenades, 5kg explosives, 27kg hashish and 3,000 bottles of liquor.

Rangers conducted a six-hour-long operation in different areas of Lyari in early hours of the morning and arrested 54 suspects while recovering arms, ammunition, explosives and drugs, Express news reported on Sunday.
Noor Muhammad alias Baba Ladla, a notorious gangster, however, managed to escape with his companions by breaking through the rangers’ barricade.
Rangers surrounded and conducted the operation in Mauripur, Naya Abad, Aath Chowk, Sangoleen, Mawacha Goth and other areas and claimed arresting 54 gang war suspects as well as recovering Kalashnikovs, 12-mm pistols, grenades, 5kg explosive material, 27kg hashish and 3,000 bottles of liquor.
Meanwhile, residents of Lyari protested against the operation by staging demonstrations at the Northern Bypass and Hub River Road.
They said that the operation was unjust, adding that rangers had arrested innocent people.
