Mob Justice: Investigation into lynching case begins

According to DIG Junejo, the inquiry will be completed in 14 days.

The Crime Branch has been tasked with investigating the Tando Adam lynching case in which a man was killed and four people were injured. Led by DIG Farhat Junejo, the team includes Crime Branch’s DSP Sajawal Khan, inspectors Aftab Ahmed and Shabbir Memon.



According to DIG Junejo, the inquiry will be completed in 14 days.

On Saturday, a large number of people attended the soyem of Ghulam Muhammad Buriro who was lynched by the mob on suspicion of coming to the aid of a couple locked in a house. The DSP of Sajawal Khan visited  Sawan Buriro village in Tando Adam, Sanghar district, and recorded the statements of the Buriros.

The B-section police in Tando Adam arrested another suspect, Farhan Shaikh, nominated in the FIR registered by Gul Muhammad Buriro against the residents of Joharabad. Shaikh was produced before the court which sent him on a six-day physical remand.
