Election transparency: Baloch calls for opposition alliance
The code of conduct issued by election commission for general elections should be followed in letter and spirit.
LAHORE:
Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) general secretary Liaqat Baloch on Saturday appealed to all opposition parties to form a grand alliance to ensure transparency in voter lists preparation for free and fair elections. In a statement issued at Mansoora, he said the alliance should also put pressure on government to develop a consensus on a caretaker set up. He said the code of conduct issued by election commission for general elections should be followed in letter and spirit.
