Murder: Woman killed ‘for property’

FAISALABAD: Dijkot police have arrested a man suspected of involvement in the killing of a woman over a property dispute.  They said raids were underway to track down the main suspect, Kamran Khan, and his accomplices. Khan, a nephew of Zeenat Firdous’s husband, had been accused by her in an application she submitted with a judicial magistrate for exhuming her husband’s body. She said she suspected that her husband had been poisoned by his relatives. She said the killers wanted to get possession of the couple’s house in Chak 535-GB. Firdous was found killed at her home on Saturday, two days before a judicial magistrate was to exhume the body of her husband for an autopsy. Police said raids were underway to track down the suspects.
