Critical project: Advocacy group backs Kalabagh dam

The Punjab Forum, an advocacy platform for senior journalists and intellectuals, said that the government should seriously look into the construction of a dam at Kalabagh.
The four year delay in international funding for a dam at Kalabagh has deprived Pakistan of $8 billion in annual benefits, said Baig Raj, President of the Punjab Forum in a statement issued here on Friday.
He also said that Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh will become barren in the absence of this project.
