Higher education: University to offer Sufism classes

The university will initially offer classes in Sufi Thought and Practice, Mystic Poetry and South Asian Arts.

The first batch of students of the International Sufism and Peace University at Bhit Shah will start their studies from October. The temporary location for the classes will be at the Government High School, Bhit Shah, announced officials on Thursday.


Matiari’s deputy commissioner Shahid Laghari, Sindh University vice chancellor Dr Nazir A Mughal and others were present on the occasion.

The Sindh University will organise a ceremony in the new university’s honour on August 29.

The university will initially offer classes in Sufi Thought and Practice, Mystic Poetry and South Asian Arts.

Another waste of the taxpayers rupee. What job prospects does said graduate have? What organization will employ a graduate of sufi studies? No empowerment shall be delivered through this education and no benefit will be offered to employers. the workforce remains as it is, largely useless.
