FIA writes letter to CJ, requests action against officials appointed on basis of political affiliations.
KARACHI:
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) wrote a letter to Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Friday, maintaining that at least 50 officials from different governmental departments were deputed in the FIA through unfair means, reported Express News.
The FIA officials, through the letter, requested the chief justice to take notice of officials appointed on the basis of their political backgrounds.
Express News correspondent Adil Jawad reported that the federal government has banned the hiring of officials in the FIA which makes these deputations illegal.
He added that the FIA had earlier moved the Sindh and Islamabad High Court, but both the courts had issued a stay order.
