Cricket: ‘Team wants Pietersen resolution’
Pietersen was dropped from the upcoming One-Day Internationals and World Twenty20 squads.
Jonathan Trott wants the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to decide swiftly if Kevin Pietersen can play for England again, according to Sky Sports.
Pietersen was dropped from the upcoming One-Day Internationals and World Twenty20 squads after the texting controversy that saw him dropped from the Test side. England coach Andy Flower insisted further talks are needed to find a solution and Trott urged all parties to get on with those negotiations.
“Kevin has got his reasons and the ECB have got their own reasons so they need to sort out whatever the middle ground is,” said Trott. “I can only speak for the guys in the changing room and myself, and I think everybody wants this sorted out so it is crystal clear where we all stand.”
