RAWALPINDI: A proclaimed offender murdered two brothers and injured the third one with the help of his accomplices on suspicion of leaking information about a gang member to the police, at Kahna Bajjar, Rawat on Tuesday night. The killer was identified as Gulfraz, a one-time associate of the victims Rasheed and Ghulam Rabbani, sons of Chandi Khan. Their brother Ghulam Jilani sustained bullet injuries during the armed assault. The assailants managed to escape from the scene. Sub Inspector (SI) Zahoor said the killer and his victims were once neighbours in Sohawa. Moazzam and his brother Gulfraz were declared proclaimed offenders by the court for involvement in several cases lodged with Jhelum and Gujar Khan police. The SI said Gulfraz’s and Rasheed’s gangs developed differences recently. Gulfraz suspected Rasheed’s gang of giving the police a lead on Moazzam’s whereabouts after which the latter was killed in an encounter. Police registered a murder case against Gulfraz and his accomplices, the SI added.
