Wahga border: Cigarette smuggler arrested, three flee

Rangers sources said that four men were spotted trying to smuggle cigarettes to India.

LAHORE: Pakistan Rangers on Sunday foiled an attempt to smuggle cigarettes to India and arrested the smuggler after an exchange of fire at Wagha Border. Rangers sources said that four men were spotted trying to smuggle cigarettes to India. In the exchange of fire between the smugglers and the Rangers, one of the former was injured and arrested, while the rest of the three fled. The injured man was taken to Services Hospital, where he was later reported to be out of danger.
