Illegal Slaughter: Butcher arrested
More than 100 kilogrammes of meat seized from the place was later thrown away.

An illegal slaughter house in Peoples Colony was raided on Saturday by a team of Livestock Department officers. A house near D-Ground was raided by Dr Saleem, Dr Shahid Ikram and Dr Liaqat Ali. The officers seized nine slaughtered goats and forged Livestock Department stamps. They said the butchers sold the mean without getting approval by the veterinary experts. They said the meat was found unhygienic. A case has been registered against the owner of the slaughterhouse, Muhammad Amin, under the Slaughter Control Act. The more than 100 kilogrammes of meat seized from the place was later thrown away.
