Accountability: 3 arrested for letting ‘drug dealers’ go

They were accused of letting go three drug peddlers after accepting a bribe from them.

FAISALABAD: Three police officials, including a police post in charge, were arrested on Saturday on the charge of releasing three men caught in possession of narcotics. Assistant Sub Inspector Abdur Rauf, the Kaleem Shaheed Colony police post in charge, and Constable Nafees and Sajjad were accused of letting go three drug peddlers after accepting a bribe from them after they were caught at the post. Taking notice of the incident, Gulberg DSP Chaudhry Ashiq Jutt, issued arrest orders of the three officials.
