ISLAMABAD:
YES Network Pakistan and the British Council have signed a memorandum of understanding to launch an Active Citizens Programme in Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) and Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK). Under this initiative, young people in G-B and AJK will be provided structured opportunities for training and engagement. The British Council launched the Active Citizens youth development programme in 2009 with more than 3,000 young people participating in the programme’s learning and social action projects and international networking opportunities. The programme has now expanded through partnerships established with fourteen organisations in the country that work with young people, one of which is YES Network Pakistan.
