Eid holidays: 400 rescuers to remain on duty

More than 400 Rescue 1122 officials in Rawalpindi will remain on duty during Eid holidays. The officials will be deployed in the district control room and emergency rescue stations.


The rescue organisation will also deploy 13 ambulances, 11 fire vehicles, two water bowsers and four other vehicles during Eid holidays.

Rescue posts shall be established at Chandni Chowk Murree Road, Pirwadhai Morr, Civil Lines Station Kahcheri Chowk, Bahria Town G.T. Road, GPO Chowk Sadder, Faizabad Flyover, Liaqat Bagh, Nawaz Shareef Park, Jinnah Park and Ayyub Park.

This was decided in a meeting chaired by Rescue 1122 Director General (DG) Dr Rizwan Naseer on Thursday. In the meeting, the DG reviewed the rescue organisation’s arrangements for Eid days in all districts of Punjab.

It was decided that emergency vehicles will be deputed at all Eid prayer sites and sensitive areas along with trained emergency staff to provide pre-hospital emergency cover if needed. Emergency officers including trained doctors will supervise the arrangements during Eid days.
