Hussain Haqqani’s reply: Watan Party submits rejoinder in SC
Barrister Zafarullah Khan demanded that Haqqani’s objections be ruled incorrect and unlawful.
LAHORE:
The Watan Party on Thursday submitted a rejoinder in the Supreme Court against the reply to objections filed by former ambassador to the US Hussain Haqqani against findings of the judicial commission that probed the memo scandal. Barrister Zafarullah Khan demanded that Haqqani’s objections be ruled incorrect and unlawful. He said that most of his (Haqqani’s) objections were no more than an attempt to malign the commission by raising baseless questions against it. He requested the court to direct the Federal Investigation Agency to issue red warrants against Haqqani and bring him back to Pakistan through Interpol to face contempt of court proceedings for wilful breach of pledges given by Haqqani to the SC.
