Security and paramilitary forces launched a search operation in Landi Kotal Bazaar and blocked the entry and exit routes. The operation continued for an hour and a suspect, identified as Sameen Jan Shinwari, was apprehended. He was taken to the Frontier Corps Cantonment for investigations. “A large cache of weapons including 13 assault rifles and 2000 rounds of bullets r were also recovered from a shop,” he added. Talking to the journalists, arms dealers in the market said that the weapons seized by the forces were not illegal, saying that their caliber was less than 12-bore and was permitted by the political administration officials in the agency.
