Presidential pardon: 98 prisioners freed from jails
As many as 33 prisoners were released from Sargodha District Jail

As many as 98 prisoners were released from the jails in Faisalabad and Sargodha divisions following a special remission granted by President Asif Ali Zardari for the Independence Day. As many as 33 prisoners were released from Sargodha District Jail; 14 from Mianwali Central Jail; five from Shah Pur jail; 10 from Toba Tek Singh District Jail, eight from Jhang District Jail; and 28 from Faisalabad Central Jail. Another 54 prisoners in the Faisalabad region will be released earlier on account of similar remission. Out these, 10 prisoners are in Sargodha District Jail; 10 in Mianwali Central Jail, five in Shahpur jail; eight in Faisalabad District Jail; three in Toba Tek Singh District Jail; six in Jhang District Jail; and 12 in Faisalabad Central Jail.
