Independence day: Bhootani calls for national harmony

Says national harmony were necessary to ensure social justice, equality between nationalities.

QUETTA: Balochistan Assembly Speaker Muhammad Aslam Bhootani on Tuesday emphasised the need to take concerted measures to steer Balochistan province out of crisis. “All citizens have the right to be provided an environment where they feel free and safe,” he said addressing a gathering on the provincial assembly premises on the occasion of national flag hoisting ceremony. “There is a need to remove our shortcomings and improve our performance, if we are serious to strengthen democracy,” he said.  He said stability and national harmony were necessary to ensure social justice, equality between nationalities, protection and safety to minorities and smooth flourishing of democratic values.
