Honoured: University VC to get Sitara-e-Imtiaz
Sitara-e-Imtiaz on Prof Dr Ahsan Ali, Vice Chancellor of Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan

President Asif Ali Zardari has decided to confer the Sitara-e-Imtiaz on Prof Dr Ahsan Ali, Vice Chancellor of Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan, for rendering valuable services and contributions in the field of archaeology. Dr Ali completed his Masters in Archaeology from the University of Peshawar. He completed his PhD from Cambridge in 2000. In 2002, he was appointed as Director Archaeology and Museums. During his term, he established nine museums. He has written 17 books and published more than 60 research papers in national and international anthologies.
