McLaren managing director Jonathon Neale said that they are nearing an agreement on a new deal with 2008 world champion Lewis Hamilton, according to Sky Sports. There has been speculation recently linking the Brit with possible moves to Mercedes and Red Bull, but Mark Webber’s new deal with the champions and Michael Schumacher looking increasingly likely to stay on for at least one more year with the Silver Arrows, Hamilton is not left with many options. “We are closer to a deal with Lewis and of course we are in dialogue,” Neale told Sky Sports. “For obvious reasons, I can’t speculate more at the moment. We are working very hard to find a common ground.”
