Daughters of Al Huda
Let me assure the writer, Al Huda students are far from being isolated from society.
LAHORE:
This is with reference to Khaled Ahmed’s article “Daughters of Al Huda” (August 22). I wish the writer had done his homework properly before writing misleading pieces like these. I am a former student of Al Huda, as are a number of my friends and let me assure the writer, we are far from being isolated from society. We are practicing doctors, engineers, lawyers and so on. And if there is one thing that we all agree on, it is that our lives only took a turn for the better after receiving religious education from the above institution. Those who write on such issues seriously need to do their research properly, especially if the result is hurling accusations against a religious institution that it incites others to commit acts of terrorism when in fact it is doing just the opposite.
