LARKANA:

Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah directed Larkana DIG Dr Sain Rakhio Mirani to transfer Baqrani taluka DSP Ghulam Murtaza Mirani on Monday, after receiving a complaint about the official from former provincial minister Altaf Unar.

Unar had complained about the deteriorating law and order situation in his area during a Sindh cabinet meeting in Larkana, and blamed it on Mirani. Meanwhile, Tariq Siyal, nephew of Pakistan Peoples Party MPA Ghulam Sarwar Siyal, requested the chief minister not to transfer Mirani, but to no avail.

According to sources, Unar and Siyal became rivals since the former joined the PPP, and both have since been trying to appoint officials of their choice in the Baqrani taluka. Shah directed Larkana DIG Dr Sain Rakhio Mirani to immediately transfer the DSP.

The clash between Unar and Siyal surfaced when Unar joined the PPP. Both the sides are trying to appoint officials in taluka according to their wishes. Unar was previously a leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid.
