Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) plans to install two filtration plants in Dhoke Gujaran and Allahabad to overcome water shortage in these areas.
RCB will also law down water pipelines in Shalley Valley and Tench Bhata and undertake a Rs20 million project to supply clean water to Allama Iqbal colony which is currently facing a severe water crisis.
Several areas in Rawalpindi, including Waris Khan, Kotli Bazaar, Jamia Masjid Road, Raja Bazaar, Amarpura. Satellite Town, Commercial Market, College Road and Dhoke Elahi Bakhsh are receiving unclean water.
