Loadshedding: Afghan refugees take to the streets

Residents' shelter houses over 30,000 Afghan refugees

ATTOCK:
Afghan refugees staged protests in Attock after power supply to their camp was cut off by the Peshawar Electric Supply Company. Residents of Panian Camp No 4 maintained that suspension of power supply to the shelter, which houses over 30,000 Afghan refugees, is “unjustified” they have been paying hefty bills on time. They alleged that the government is tacitly forcing them to vacate the camp before December.
