The meeting, being chaired by Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaque Pervez Kayani discussed the security situation in the country.
They also discussed the frequent cross-border attacks along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
The reported offer of cooperation with US and ISAF forces against militants holed up in the lawless border areas of Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Last month ISAF chief General John Allen had said that if the Pakistan Army launched an operation in North Waziristan Agency against militants, particularly the Haqqani network kind, “we are prepared to pay extra attention” to any spill over that may occur because of the operation.

This looks like a board meeting than an army corps meeting planning for an attack.
This corps' commanders' meeting is held just to complete a formality and nothing because in this meeting only the Pakistan's security's related issues are discussed verbally not practically......
Can u notice water bottles? ;)
The Taliban will cross over and the Americans and Afghans will welcome them. The ISAF chief said he is prepared to pay "extra attention." Haahh! What a farce.
This is a catch-22 situation and the civilian government and the military authorities do not have the economic resources to undertake a tough operation. If they did have the financial muscle, Pakistan would not have huge current account deficits. They will negotiate from a position of strength and not ask for IMF bailouts, of which, one is probably in the air.
The Americans have nurtured the TTP and who are now playing their own genre of Taliban rock music from Kunar and Nuristan. It seems Pakistan is caught between a 'rock and a hard place.' India in the east and USA plus Afghanistan in the west and in the center is our weak economy.

Isn't fall into blackmailing tactics of US ?
To prevent cross border attacks and the movement of people into Pakistan, the military should ask ISAF to build a big wall or fence on the Pakistan Afghanistan border. Just like the US has done to keep out illegal Mexicans, Pakistan needs to build a wall to keep out the Afghanis.
Good for nothing. This strategically obsessed cabal has pushed the country into an abyss.
Saeen tou Saeen , Saeen ke Conference bhe Saeen.
This is another meeting, to deal with their own future ! As things are likely to get bit hot for them !
Please fix the spelling in the headline. Should it not be "pore over"?
