Sting Operation: Kidnapped four-year-old girl recovered

MARDAN: A kidnapped four-year-old girl was recovered and her abductors arrested in a sting operation conducted by Takht Bhai and Islamabad police on Friday. According to DSP Shakirullah at Takht Bhai Circle, armed men kidnapped Aaliya from Shahzad Town in Islamabad on August 5. They demanded a Rs0.3 million ransom in exchange for her. During initial investigations police held Charsadda resident Alamgir, who revealed that he kidnapped the girl with his accomplice Bahadur during interrogation. After tracing Bahadur’s calls, police apprehended him in Shergah. He confessed he was keeping the girl in his house in Qutab Garh. Police recovered her after raiding the house. His wife was taken under custody as well.
