Two injured in hand grenade attack in Karachi

Attackers rode a motorbike, threw hand grenade at a car.

KARACHI:
Two people were injured when the car they were traveling in was attacked by a hand grenade near the Gulberg Raheem Hospital in Karachi, Express News reported on Wednesday.

The attackers, riding a motorbike, threw a hand grenade at a car which on explosion injured the passengers. The car was also badly damaged in the blast.


A heavy police contingent reached the crime scene including DIG Naeem Akram Borkha who inspected the area.

The injured were identified as Salman Baloch and Rizwan and are said to be affiliated with the Pakistan Peoples Party.

According to Express News correspondent Nadeem Ahmed, the injured were shifted to a local hospital and are in a serious condition.
