Punjab youth festival: Another 7,635 volunteers registered
Another 7,635 volunteers registered for the Punjab Youth Festival, bringing the total number of volunteers to 12,851.

Another 7,635 volunteers have registered for the Punjab Youth Festival, bringing the total number of volunteers to 12,851. This was stated by the Punjab Sports Board Director General Usman Anwar. “These volunteers will be part of committees, headed by district and tehsil sports officials, to ensure that the festival goes on smoothly,” he said. A copy of the list of volunteers and their details has been sent to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Punjab Sports Board Chairman Hamza Shahbaz and Organising Committee Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmed. Of the 7,635 27 volunteers were registered in Attock, 253 in Bahawalpur, 18 in Chakwal, 364 in DG Khan, 534 in Faisalabad, 1,274 in Gujranwala, 140 in Hafizabad, 585 in Khanewal, 228 in Khushab, 246 in Layyah, 297 in Lodhran, 227 in Mandi Bahauddin, 260 in Multan, 264 in Rahim Yar Khan, 715 in Rajanpur, 1,428 in Rawalpindi, 182 in Sahiwal, 570 in Sargodha and 245 in Vehari. The festival will start in the last week of August and will feature arm-wrestling, badminton, billiard and snooker, chess, cricket, football, tug of war, volleyball, bodybuilding, hockey, weightlifting, Kabaddi, wrestling, table tennis, karate, rugby, taekwondo, tent pegging, table tennis, basketball and swimming, he added.
