Human rights: Govt to table child rights bill

The bill includes internal trafficking and increasing the age of criminal liability.

ISLAMABAD: Adviser to prime minister on human rights Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar said on Tuesday that government is working to table child rights bill in the parliament. The bill includes internal trafficking and increasing the age of criminal liability, he said, this while talking, the Australian High Commissioner Peter Heyward and First Secretary Mikel Gragery who called on him here. The adviser apprised them about recent legislative initiatives for addressing human rights issues like National Commission for Human Rights Bill, the Women in Distress and Detention Fund Bill, National Commission for Women Bill and Prevention of Anti Women Practices Bill.
