Calligraphic display allows viewers to tune into their spiritual side
Paintings depicting Arabic calligraphy on display at the Rawalpindi Arts Council.

In connection with Ramazan, Rawalpindi Arts Council organised a group calligraphic exhibition based on Quranic verses on Tuesday, according to a press release.
A total of 78 paintings focused on the depiction of Arabic calligraphy were displayed.
Works of talented artists Elahi Bukhsh Matee, Imran Tahir, Khwaja Muhammad Hussain, Nadeem Sheikh, Sajjad Khurshid, Mahtab Javed, Rehmat Ali, Muhammad Azeem Iqbal and Younis Roomi were put on display.
After the inaugural ceremony, Dr Prof Muhammad Shoab Shafi, Vice-President College of Physicians and Surgeons, said he believed that remarkable illustrations of the names of God and Quranic verses dabbled in vibrant hues were testimonies of the artists’ passionate attachment with their work and Islam, which were sure to touch viewers’ hearts and minds.
A large number of art lovers appreciated the artistic works.
