The stakeholders are preparing to hold a moot to discuss issues being faced by the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the country.
The 6th Pakistan SME Conference 2012 will be held on September 5, 2012 in Karachi to figure out a plan to deal with a number of issues faced by the SME sector in Pakistan and relevant policy interventions.
Several key organisations such as the State Bank of Pakistan, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, Business Support Fund of the Ministry of Finance and Union of Small and Medium Enterprises are expected to participate in the conference.
Eminent speakers and representatives of several sub-sectors of the SME sector in Pakistan have been invited to dilate on subjects which range from regulatory inconsistency, difficulties in SMEs access to banking services, taxation, transportation of goods, power and energy issues, and security concerns.
