In recognition: Widows of two cops get cash awards
The two policemen were killed in a shootout with a proclaimed offender in Jhang on July 3.

Inspector General of Punjab Police Haji Habibur Rehman on Monday gave cash awards worth Rs3 million to relatives of two policemen who had recently lost their lives in shootouts with criminals. Those who received the cash awards were: Naseem Bibi, widow of ASI Muhammad Arif; and Mussarat Bibi, widow of Head Constable Ghulam Jaffar. The two policemen were killed in a shootout with a proclaimed offender in Jhang on July 3. The IGP said two sons of each of the martyred policemen would be recruited in the Police Department on completion of their studies. He praised the deceased policemen, Muhammad Arif and Ghulam Jaffar, for their services for the department.
